Request for donation of the roof restoration cost of Dojo
I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the warm hearted words from around the world at the 60th anniversary of our Kyumeikan dojo. We we were able to host the commemorative ceremony commensurate with the 60th anniversary with great honor.
We are sorry to announce the sad situation of our dojo. By the impact of global warming, natural disasters are occurring all over the world, and even in Japan in the last few months many heavy rain, typhoon, earthquake has caused many victims.
Recently, a strong typhoon hit Tokyo in early September causing serious damage. Kyumeikan Dojo was also damaged by this strong wind causing the roof to be greatly damaged. Currently the roof has been covered with a vinyl sheet, so every time it rains ther dojo, and as it is, there is concern that the dojo's damage will increase. It is necessary to restore the roof at the earliest possible stage; about 5 million yen is required as the cost.
Kyumeikan Dojo recently is in a situation where the number of members has decreased and membership fee income is also used to cover day-to-day operation expenses. Therefore, we decided to send a letter asking for donations for dojo restoration to people who are related to the overseas Kyumeikan Sister Dojo. We hope to continue to be able to welcome you at any time to the traditional Dojo and to be able to contribute to human formation through Kendo and laido.
